Hi, I am Laura!
I am currently a level 2 Fitness Instructor, studying to become a level 3 Personal Trainer & Spinning instructor and will soon be specialising in Pre and Post Natal fitness. I have both male and female clients with a varied age range, spanning all different fitness levels. Having suffered a serious back injury myself I also offer assistance to people trying to overcome both the mental and physical challenges of a serious operation.
From a young age I’ve had a huge passion for sports, it’s always been a massive part of my life. I represented Essex County Tennis as a teenager before finding out I had scoliosis. I had to have a metal plate inserted into my back which runs the length of my spine. As a result I wasn’t able to do anything for 6 months, but this didn’t (and still doesn’t) stop me, being active is part of my life. Going to the gym, swimming, boxing, bootcamps, body pump and spinning is all part of my regular exercise routine.
In 2008 I had twin girls, looking back, the weight gain and loss of fitness associated to the pregnancy had a huge impact on my confidence. Being a working mum the stress of holding down a job and trying to be a good parent was enough in itself, before I even thought about my fitness! About 3-4 months after having the twins I decided it was time to get back to what motivated me and what I love the most. It was time to get out of the City, sitting behind a desk and instead do what I love, something that made me feel good. And so my journey began…
To now be involved in the fitness industry as a career is dream come true, I love seeing how good it makes people feel, the difference I can make and the results my training brings. Exercise is addictive, once you get the bug and start seeing results, it makes you feel amazing!…always remember, there is no magic pill or magic session though, it takes dedication and commitment, but don’t worry, I am here to help! No matter what your current fitness level is or your target goal, get in contact and let me tell you how I can help you achieve them.
Always remember ‘Progress over Perfection’
